Social Works, NCC & NSS

National Service Scheme (NSS) was started in this institution on 13 September 2000., under the chairmanship of the Principal. The Following activities were held under this scheme:-

1. Independence Day Celebration
2. Literacy Programme For Children
3. Blood Donation Camp
4. Safai Abhiyaan
5. Plantation Drives

In addition to NSS Blood Donation Melas are held regularly in this Institute. There is an over whelming response from the students and the faculty members who consider this is as a noble act and donate their blood voluntarily. They take an oath that in the district of Yamuna Nagar no person shall die for want of blood. The teams of doctors who come from PGI Chandigarh have always expressed their appreciation for our students who stand waiting in queues ready to make their contribution.

The unit is planning to organize camps in different villages for medical awareness, literacy drives. The unit in collaboration with TCS is participating in Accelerated Literacy Programme(ALP) in which the software development by TCS will be used to make adults functionally literate.

NCC
The Institute has full fledged senior division (under self-finance basis) for boys under 14 Haryana BN NCC and also the Institute has a separate women Wing for Girls NCC Cadets.
