ACHIEVEMENTS & ACCOLADES

Technical /Academic /Social Achievements:

ACADEMIC 

  • During the year 2023-24 (2023 passout batch), Institute has bagged 33 university positions out of which 04 are Gold Medalists.

     

TECHNICAL         

  • SMART INDIA HACKATHON-A National Level Competition organized by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi
  • Our Institute team participated and bagged first position with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- and Rs. 1 lakh in National Level Smart Inia Hackathon Hackathon-2022 organized by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.
  • Our Institute team participated in National Level Competition ‘ChandigarhPolice Hackathon-2022’ held from October 28-29, 2022 and secured the first position with a cash prize of Rs.1 Lakh. Infosys Pvt. Ltd. Chandigarh. 
  • Our student Mr. Divyansh Bansal has won the International UNESCO India Africa Hackathon 2022 (UIA-2022) organized in India by the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell in November 2022.   His team has been awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 3 lakhs. 100 teams participated in the competition and 20 teams have been awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 3 lakhs each and gold medals.
  • One of another student participated in International level competition in Feb. 2023 “Lensathon” organized by Snapchat and won first position with a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh.
  • Our one team won first prize alongwith cash award of 1 Lakh in Smart India Hackathon 2019 grand finale. Total 39 teams consisting of 224 students (82 Girls, 142 boys) participated from JMIT. 05 teams qualified for Finale Round.
  • Our two teams have been awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/- each in Smart India Hackathon grand finale held in March 2018 by Maharasthra Government & Ministry of Skill Development, respectively.
  • Our two teams had participated in Smart India Hackathon 2020 in Software edition and brought laurels to the Institute by securing 2nd and 4th position at National Level. Team 1- Tech Warriors & The Decoits 3.0
  • In Smart India Hackathon 2017 organized by All India Council for Technical Education, 1200 teams have been selected from 7531 teams from all over India which include two teams from JMIT.
  • One of our students project ‘Smart Mirror with Home Automation’ selected in top 50 projects in India International Science Festival organized by Govt. of Goa out of 3500 teams and presented his project during the festival held at Goa on 11.12.2021. Our project was centre of attraction and liked by every one.
  • International Robotics Championship, Delhi : 226 teams (216 National + 10 International) participated out of which our Institute team scored 17th
  • Techspardha, NIT Kurukshetra : 50 teams participated and our team scored 2nd Each student has been awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 1500/- each alongwith certificate and trophies.
  • Synergy 2019 (Robotics): The event was held at SGT University, Gurugram. Out of 16 teams our Institute team scored 3rd
  • AICTE Mobility Mission Fest Brandathon- 100 teams participated. Our team scored third position with a cash prize of Rs. 10000/-.
  • Our five students participated in National Creativity Aptitude Test 2019 and received certificates of excellence by showing exemplary performances.
  • Our students awarded by State Government for securing first prize in Debate Organized by HAREDA.
  • Our students participated in the District Level Science Quiz contest sponsored by Haryana State Council for Science Innovation and Technology, Panchkula held on 15.11.2021 at MLN College, Yamuna Nagar and scored 3rd   
  • A team of our three students participated in District Level Inter College Case Study competition on 07.05.2022 at TIMT, Yamuna Nagar and bagged first prize amounting to Rs. 5100/-.
  • One of our students participated in Zonal Youth Festival, Kurukshetra in Feb. 2021 in Western Instrument (Solo) even and scored 2nd
  • One of our student participated in online National Level Competition ‘ Insight into Disaster’ in February 2021 organized by MLN College, Yamuna Nagar and scored 1st position
  • Our two students participated in the District Level Science Essay Writing Competition held at MLN College, Yamuna Nagar by Haryana State Council for Science & Technology on 29.01.2020 and qualified for the State Level.
  • Two students one prizes at District level competitions on the eve of National Voters Days i.e. first prize in Essay Writing & third prize in Rangoli with cash prizes of Rs. 1000/- and 500/-, respectively.

 

SOCIAL

  • JMIT has been awarded thrice with ‘Voluntary Blood Donation Services (VBDS)’ for contributions in Voluntary Blood Donation by Governor of Haryana at Haryana Rajbhawan, Chandigarh. 
  • Covid Vaccination Camp was organized on 27.10.2021. Total 206 people got vaccinated in the camp  
  • Blood Donation Mela successfully organized on 19.11.2021, 515 units of blood collected.
  • JMIT has been appreciated by District Administration, Yamuna Nagar for organizing annual blood donation camp and excellent contribution of 590 units of blood during the year 2018
  • Institute have been appreciated by AICTE for excellent contribution in One Student One Tree initiative- 2019

  • JMIT has been ranked amongst the top 5 emerging BBA Institutes in India in the Times BBA Education Ranking Survey 2020
  • 17th Rank in North India Engineering Colleges/Universities and 105th Rank in All India Engineering Colleges/Universities by “The Week” magazine.
  • JMIT has been awarded with “Clean Premises’ Award by Municipal Corporation, Radaur under Swachh Survekshan 2021
  • JMIT has been awarded with appreciation certificate by District Administration, Yamuna Nagar for contributing Rs. 273007.00 in Haryana Corona Relief Fund
  • Appreciation letter by ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd., Yamuna Nagar for providing training to their Employees on latest technologies in 2020

 

ALUMNI NETWORK & ACHIEVEMENTS:

  1. Around 5200 alumni are connected for placements, pre-placements talks, webinars, expert talks and workshops.

  2. Alumni Chapters: Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi, Radaur, Chennai, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Europe, Australia, USA.

  3. Mukandian, Mr. Rameshwar Jhangra, an old student and Computer Engineering graduate from JMIT, Radaur of the year 2001 has been honored by the President of India in August, 2019 with ‘Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award 2018’ which carries award money of Rs. 5 Lakhs and is the highest National Award at par with the Arjun Award for Sports in India.

  4. Alumni Ms. Ruby of Computer Science & Engg., belongs to nearby village Ram Saran Majra, Babain, Distt. Kurukshetra has won the Asia Pacific Women Tech Maker Scholarship -2018 from Google for 1000 US$.

  5. Alumni Mr. Abhishek Arora, Roll No. 1215474 of Mechanical Engg. Branch – 2018 passout batch has prepared a Car costing Rs. 1 Lakh.
