Vision The Electronics and communication Engineering Department is looking forward to cater the latest industrial needs to produce skilful engineers who are innovative, entrepreneurial and result oriented.
Mission To provide the students with lifelong learning needed for a productive career on the grounds of ethics, good governance, and quality and to disseminate knowledge by upholding innovative services to provide collective environment, that inspires every stakeholder.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is one of the major Departments of the Institute. The Undergraduate course i.e. B.Tech (ECE) was introduced in 1995 has intake of 60 students presently. The main emphasis is laid on fundamental concepts as well as on the latest technologies, both in theory and practical work to prepare the students for the vast field of Electronics & Communication Engineering. The department is housed in a newly built building having modern amenities. The laboratories are well equipped with the latest software and hardware tools to give a practical hand to the students. A Seminar Hall, fully equipped with audio-visual aids and with the seating capacity of 120 students has been facilitated in the department. At times this department organizes the Guest Lectures for the students to bridge the gap between Industry and Academics. A special two hour regular course has been introduced in the department to give students a hand on experience of Electronic Engineering tools which are used in Industries.

From Session 2006-07 the department got affiliation by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra to undertake a course in M. Tech. Electronics & Communication Engineering with the intake of 18 students. The main focus is laid on the areas of Communication Engineering, Signal Processing, Image Processing, VLSI Design, Design of Antennas and Evolutionary Computing. Our students have cleared national level completions including GATE, GRE, and other public sector. Students are pursuing M. Tech & MBA from various reputed institute such as IITs and NITs.
The main objective of the Department is “Excellence, Innovation and Creativity in Teaching-Learning, Research and Technology development”. The competent and experienced faculty is involved in providing Quality Education at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.

CENTRE OF EXCELLENCES:

Robotics (CER): training and projects on AVR, PIC microcontroller, AURDINO and Rasberry –pi. (Total students trained 500+ so far.)

Texas Instruments Innovation Centre (TIIC) for analog circuit designing and IOT based projects using low power microcontroller. (Total students trained 150+ so far.)

Quadcopter, Blind stick, Path finder, LED display board, Obstacle avoider, Line follower, MIDI, walk-n-talk, Bluetooth Robomachine, Home automation using IOT, Self balancing Robot, Electronics surveillance system.
