Mission The mission elements of Electrical Engineering Department are:
M-1. To prepare students for fundamentals in Electrical and Computational Technology, keeping environmental aspects.
M-2. To undertake the foundation of research for systems involving emerging fields of Electrical Engg. i.e the renewable enrgy concept.
M-3. To impart professional skills for solving real-life problems.

1 Vikram Sheoran Roll No. 1210757 has secured 98.8% in CAT exam held in November’13.
2 Manjeet Singh, Roll No. 1210727, has cleared the F-CAT exam for the armed forces, held recently and has gone for final stage of interview.

Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. The field first became an identifiable occupation in the late nineteenth century after commercialization of the electric telegraph and electrical power supply. It now covers a range of subtopics including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing and telecommunications.

Electrical engineering may include electronic engineering. Where a distinction is made, usually outside of the United States, electrical engineering is considered to deal with the problems associated with large-scale electrical systems such as power transmission and motor control, whereas electronic engineering deals with the study of small-scale electronic systems including computers and integrated circuits.Alternatively, electrical engineers are usually concerned with using electricity to transmit energy, while electronic engineers are concerned with using electricity to transmit information. More recently, the distinction has become blurred by the growth of power electronics.

Industrial Visit

Workshop conducted on AutoCAD on 16/03/18 & 17/03/18 by Wonder Automation, Mohali in Electrical department in which 24 students of Electrical Engg. Deptt. participated.

Industrial Visit

Electrical Engg. department organized an Industrial Visit to Thermal power plant (DCRTPP) at Yamunanagar on 14/03/18.
Total 40 students and 02 faculty members visited the plant.

Aptitude & Technical Test

Electrical Engg. department conducted an Aptitude & Technical Test on February 27, 2018.


Electrical Engg. department organized a workshop on “Embedded System Design using Arduino” by Wonder Automation, Mohali on February 27, 2018.

Industrial Visit

Electrical Engineering Department organized a visit to Power Grid Corporation Kurukshetra on 20/02/18. Total 25 students and 02 faculty members visited the plant.This visit gave practical exposure of Transmission and Distribution subject.
