Overview

Department cover the subjects/areas of Applied Physics and Applied Chemistry. It has highly qualified faculty. It is in a position to supervise research leading to Ph.D degree. The department has the following well- developed laboratories:-Applied Physics Applied Chemistry The equipment in the Applied Physics Laboratory includes, traveling microscopes, telescopes, spectrometer, sensitive galvanometer, Cathode ray oscilloscope, Hysteresis loop tracer, Hall effect set up, Four probe set up, Biquartz Polarimeter, Diffraction Grating, Sonometer, Thermionic Emmission kit etc. The equipment in the Applied Chemistry laboratory includes conductivity bridge, water analysis kit ( microprocessor based ) ph meter. Further, equipment like electronic balance, viscometer, flash point apparatus, penetrometer, hot air over, muffle furnace, electrical mantles, self-sufficient distillation apparatus etc. are available

A guest lecture was organised for BTech first year students on the topic “syn between career ladder and self esteem” by Ms Anika Kumar (A student counsellor).

Creative Fingers club of Applied Science department celebrated “Hindi Diwas” and organized activities on 6th & 8th September, 2017.

Hunar 4

The “Creative fingers- The Recyclage Club” of JMIT organized an activity “Hunar 4” on March 3, 2017.
It consisted of two events : (i) Rangoli Competition & (ii) Best out of Waste competition at the spot.
Congratulations to winners : 1st Position (Rangoli) – Tanu (IT 2nd year), Prateek (CSE 2nd year) & 2nd Position (Rangoli) – Ragini (CSE 2nd year), Kritika (CSE 2nd year), Himanshi (IT 3rd year)

YOUTH RED CROSS

Students of YOUTH RED CROSS JMIT, ATTENDED A FIVE DAY DISTRICT LEVEL RED CROSS CAMP organized by INDIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY ,HARYANA AT GURU NANAK KHALSA COLLEGE,YNR from 13/2/17 TO 17/2/17.
Following menbers participated in the camp:

Our institute team got overall 1st prize, 2nd prize in painting competition and Mr. Himanshu soni got 2nd prize in Speech Competition.
